What does it mean to be a member of The Tribe?  Although this short film explores Jewish identity, it’s also a powerful tool for discussing Barbie‘s role in American culture and how this impacts girls.

Ironically, Barbie’s creator, Ruth Handler, was a strong Jewish woman – the antithesis of the Barbie role model.
