It’s not easy coming up with new material daily as I’ve been doing during NaBloPoMo, National Blog Post Month. One solution to filling a blog is to create a weekly feature, preferably one that requires little writing.

Bloggers have come up with a variety of imaginative features.
Mission Monday – Deb of Dirty Socks & Pizza created a weekly giveaway around promoting new blogs.
Wordless Wednesday – Sugar of Living – In Theory shows that a picture can be worth a thousand words.
Friday F’s – In Moms At Work, Kim Hayes presents a Friday Five, this time on 5 Kid-Friendly Uses For Vinegar, while Pamela Kramer of PKMY boogies with Flash Back Fridays, this time highlighting U2′s Joshua Tree Tour.
Fried Brain Fridays
I thought about starting a similar feature, but after this tumultuous week, all I could think of was Fried Brain Fridays, in which I take a break from thinking about serious, important issues to share some of my mindless indulgences.
I’m a big fan of Hulu, where I can catch up on shows that I missed on TV. Today, I finished catching up on The Starter Wife series, a “sexy, savvy comedy about life after divorce.”
I enjoyed laughing through the mini-series last summer, and the series is even better, but what really drew me in was the adult Harriet The Spy storyline.
Molly Kagan, the ex-”Wife of” a blockbuster movie producer, loses her journal, filled with juicy tidbits about the shenanigans of Hollywood socialites. Can’t say that this version dealt with the situation as well as the children’s classic, but it’s funny nonetheless.
A laugh, a break from thinking, that’s all I need on Brain Dead Fridays.
