The Last Lecture – Randy Pausch
If you knew you only had months before dying, how would you choose to live? Joyfully, purposefully, gratefully?
I just discovered this video of The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, a gifted speaker and university professor. His message, especially for those of us raising children, is so important that I’m going to insist that every member of my family watch it.
That’s right. On Thanksgiving Day, when my sister’s house is crammed full of family and friends who have traveled from all corners of this country and beyond, we’ll be sharing Pausch’s powerful message before we go around the table and share our gratitude prayers.
I have so much to be grateful to this year: my family, my friends, my health, all the gifts that I’ve been given, and continue to receive. And now, I am also so very grateful for the community of new friends and inspiring life-long learners that I’ve found online.
A heartfelt thank you to Aimee, of Journey2Learn, for sharing this video.
If you’re anything like me, you may find yourself sobbing, but don’t worry, it’s not a sad story. Will you share this video with your family?
