When my troop heard about the Worlds’ Biggest Pajama Party, they immediately jumped on the chance. Some of them had been begging to wear their PJs to school and this was a golden opportunity to do something to help others, while getting their heart’s desire.
The girls presented their proposal for a school-wide pajama party to their principal, secured permission, and then publicized the event with flyers, posters, and a notice in the school’s newsletter.
When the long-anticipated School Pajama Party came around, few of the Middle School students were game to wear PJs in public. The Pajama Party celebration wasn’t exactly what they envisioned.
Still, the real reward will be bringing a little warmth to children in need with these donations through the Pajama Program!
