Welcome! I’m Sandra Foyt, the Journey Mom.
Journey is a funny word. On its own, it refers to travel or the passage of time. Add “man”, and you’ve got an experienced craftsman, not yet a master of the trade.
The Journey Mom is all of this, and more.
Remember how I said that when you add “man”, you’ve got an experienced craftsman? Well, a JourneyMom is the multitasking equivalent. I know enough about a lot of trades, but I’m a master of none. The Journey Mom is about my efforts to become a master blogger, travel writer, and photographer.
It’s a long road, full of adventure, full of discovery. Some ventures work out well, others fail miserably. Through it all, there is just one constant.
The Journey Mom is about inspiring life-long learners who want to make the world a better place.

Love the phrase Journey Mom. Didn’t know your husband was a physician/ear surgeon. Good luck to your daughter. Enjoy this homeschool year more than ever in case it is your last.
Sandra, I am so grateful to have found your website and for all the time you have put into supplying the rest of us with your valuable experiences.
I have 2 children (6&8), I have spent several weeks researching (and years considering) homeschooling. Your site has been a great resource, confirming my decision to start the initial process.
